The Vesper, or Vesper Martini, is a very strong cocktail primarily containing gin. The drink also contains vodka and a touch of Lillet Blonde, a brand of dry vermouth. Although the cocktail is meant to be served in Champagne coupe or goblet, this is often substituted with a cocktail glass instead and garnished with a twist of lemon rind.
What you need to make the Vesper
For the drink
- 60 ml gin
- 15 ml vodka
- 7.5 ml Lillet Blonde (or dry vermouth)
- Ice cubes
For the garnish
- Lemon twist
How to make
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Add the gin, vodka and Lillet Blonde, then shake until chilled.
- Strain into a Champagne coupe and garnish with a lemon twist.
