The Paradise is an apéritif, or pre-dinner drink, dating back to the 1930s. The cocktail is a blend of gin, apricot brandy or apricot liqueur and orange juice, although there are other variations which include adding a splash of lemon juice.

  1. Add ice to a cocktail shaker and pour in the gin, brandy and orange juice.
  2. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.
