The majority of the Champagne Cocktail unsurprisingly consists of Champagne, but has been combined with a touch of cognac, dashes of Angostura bitters and a sugar cube. The drink is served in a Champagne flute and garnished with a maraschino cherry and a slice of orange.
What you need to make the Champagne Cocktail
For the drink
- 90 ml champagne
- 10 ml cognac (or brandy)
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 sugar cube
For the garnish
- Orange slice
- Cocktail cherry
How to make
- Place sugar cube into a Champagne flute and add a couple of dashes of bitters.
- Add the cognac, then pour over chilled Champagne
- Garnish with a slice of orange and a cocktail cherry.
